The world of marketing is dynamic and moving fast, and getting on board the action train can be one of the most exciting career rides ever.
Generally, marketing degree can be earned in a matter of a few short years. With this valuable degree you can enter the work force in numerous fields, from magazines, television, radio, Internet, manufacturing and more; basically any field that needs to work on advertising and sales and promotions of a product or service.
A typical position for someone with a marketing degree is that of marketing manager. This is someone in a company who will help evaluate and promote a product or service that a company has. They will collaborate with the sales department to help create ads, get clients and customers. Many managers will work with the public relations department and be part of the dynamic team that creates catalogs, exhibits, advertisements, displays, and more. They will keep abreast of all competitors and competing companies and try to position the company to make a profit and survive
There are a lot of entry positions and opportunities for advancement in this field. If you want to earn a degree in marketing you need to find a good college, be creative, high energy, and willing to think outside of the box to come up with innovative ideas that competing companies may not have thought of already.
Advertising managers can make really good incomes. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in 2006 the median annual earnings for marketing managers was $98,720 per year.
