Project Runway Returns!

Top-Colleges would like to extend a special thank you to all the “Project Runway” fans! The conflict between executive producer, Harvey Weinstein, and NBC has finally been resolved, thanks to all of you who wrote to the Weinstein Company!

While Weinstein was promising the rights to the show to NBC, he was busy conducting secret negotiations to move the show to Lifetime. When NBC found out about these shady deals, Season 6 was almost discarded in the trash heap like last year’s animal print shirts.

Weinstein definitely noticed when the letters from everybody started pouring in! The dispute has been solved, and the Weinstein Company agreed to pay NBC for the right to move “Project Runway” to Lifetime.

Host Heidi Klum is thrilled that her show finally has a home. In a statement to “Access Hollywood” she reported, “”I am so thrilled that fans will be getting their ‘Project Runway’ back this summer! And it will be worth the wait because Season 6 is amazing and a lot of fun. I’m glad the talented designers will get their chance in the spotlight, plus we have the new added bonus of Models of the Runway. And as much as I appreciate loyal fans telling us how much they miss the show, I can finally say WE ARE BACK!”
The new deal, which guarantees five more seasons of the show, definitely makes Ms. Klum, and the rest of our loyal readers, very pleased. So, welcome back to the air, “Project Runway”, and thanks again to everyone who wrote in!

Project Runway & Lifetime seem like such a strange fit. Heidi & co. are about creating trends and staying ahead of the curve. Lifetime is where creepy made-for-tv movies go to die. Not sure about the compatibility there. But, as a dedicated Project Runway viewer, I guess I’ll be making the move to Lifetime, too! Bravo just lost one of the best shows on it’s line-up. I guess now it’s up to Top Chef to keep the viewers there happy.
