I am 22 years old and the only person I know of who volunteers consistently. I began volunteering about a year ago and although it has yet to do anything for my career, it has more than paid for itself with the appreciation I have for my own life and the admiration I have for others. I am constantly trying to convince my friends and family to give a couple of hours of their time to those less fortunate but somehow I cannot get through to them. I hope that this article is successful where I havent been. I am an active volunteer and am very happy to see this article.
