Hero Electrician Should Be an Example to Us All

As the world sits on a climatic knife-edge, the United States continues to feel the pounding of natural disasters. From hurricanes to the devastating forest fires raging in California, Mother Nature has been extremely emotional with our humble nation. However, as much as we scurry when the clouds open and the environment lets us know how small we really are, we’ve come together at every single turn to make sure that all the help that can be offered is offered. This is certainly the story of Nancy Ernest, an electrician that travels throughout the United States during her vacations in order to help in disaster relief. This is the story of a true American hero that gives because she can. Will this be your story?

Some of the houses that have been ravaged by weather related catastrophes have no electricity and desperately need drywalling work done. This is what Nancy Ernest does. Why? Because she can. “I’m able and I’m capable, and I always think if it happens to me, it will come around and people will help.” She owes this effort to her heart and her training. Having a certification as a trained electrician allows her the opportunity to give back to her follow Americans that are in a tight spot.

Her track record is one that speaks for itself. She’s been to Louisiana three times after Hurricane Katrina and Indiana twice after the flooding that occurred there. This November she plans on going back to Louisiana because, simply put, there is always more help to give.
If she sounds like a superhero, you could be right. However, she does not fly alone. Nancy goes around with a group of like minded people from her church in order to help those in need. From plumbers to electricians to men and women with construction backgrounds, any and all professional expertise is welcomed and needed. One of Nancy’s most recent feats was installing walls and rewiring a trailer that otherwise should have been thrown out. However she was able to do enough work on it that it is as good as new and used in a time when waste is not a word one utters.

Perhaps there are no heroes in this world, just regular folks with training doing great things for people in need. Nancy Ernest makes enough money in her electrician career to do all of this giving during her vacations. As the old adage goes, being wealthy enough to be generous is to be one of the richest people in the world. As Nancy said, “It’s very rewarding to see the expressions on people’s faces when they see the finished product.” Maybe it’s time you started a certification program in one of the many fields available to you today.
