Let’s be real, people like to get paid. More specifically, people like to get paid well. Nursing is not an easy job and so nurses get paid accordingly. Nurses are represented by respected and powerful unions and so payment is regulated. There are few jobs in which an entry level employee is paid $50,000, but nursing is one of them. Due to the shortages of nurses, and the importance of their job, nurses are being offered substantial starting salaries. A job in nursing can result in a salary anywhere from $35,200 to $72,030 per year. Many employers offer flexible work schedules, child care services, educational benefits and even bonuses. It goes without saying that a fat pay check is one the best ways to make someone happy.

Personal Fulfillment:

Nurses are the link between doctors and patients. Nurses offer advice and guidance to patients and their families. Practically, they have more time to communication with their patients and so humanize and sooth the sometimes stressful process of going to a hospital or a nursing home. From assisting in births to reliving a child’s pain many nurses take immense personal pride in their job and are very emotional satisfied. Although pain and upsets are unavoidable in hospitals, nurses endeavor to make the lives of their patients better and can often feel very connected to them. Knowing that their work makes a huge difference in society is one of the main reasons nurses cite as to why they enjoy their work. Added to the previous reasons, if you would like to leave work every day with a sense of morality and happiness, then you should consider a career in nursing.
