One definite downside to becoming an IT teacher is the fact that safety is a major concern at all times. After all, your students will be working with tools on a regular basis, including power tools. If your students are not monitored properly, severe injuries can occur. Therefore, you need to make certain you have a solid classroom management plan in place. This way, you can effectively teach your students while also keeping everyone safe.
