Our first career in the Hot Jobs of 2007 series is home health aides. These aren’t your typical health care providers. They go the extra mile by helping elderly, disabled and recuperating outpatients in the comfort of their homes rather than a health care facility.

Under the direction of a medical staff, they provide services including the administration of medication, checking pulse rates, taking their temperature, monitoring respiration rates and helping with prescribed exercises.
