Academy of Hair Design located in Hazleton, PA and Academy of Creative Hair Design, located in Wilkes-Barre, PA provide progressive holistic education to individuals seeking to gain employment in the State of Pennsylvania as a licensed entry-level graduate in Cosmetology, Nail Esthetics, Skin Esthetics and Cosmetology Education.

Academy of Hair Design Programs *

• Cosmetology

  The objective of the Cosmetology course is to educate the student in required subjects for the State of Pennsylvania Exam. A Cosmetology license is granted from the State of Pennsylvania upon successful passing of the State Board Exam. After all the requirements are met you will be qualified to enter many areas of employment in the field of Cosmetology including salon stylist, hair colorist, permanent wave technician, facial makeup artist, nail technician and/or beauty industry rep.

• Teachers Course

  The objective of the Teacher Course is to educate the student in required subjects for the State of Pennsylvania Instructor Exam and License. A Cosmetology Teach License is granted after passing the State Board Examination.

• Nail Esthetics

  The objective of the Nail Esthetics (Nail Technician) Course is to thoroughly train all students in the field of natural and artificial nail care. A Pennsylvania Manicurist License will be granted after passing the State Board Examination.

• Skin Esthetics

  A program that prepares individuals to cleanse, depilate, massage, and beautify the human body and to function as licensed estheticians and skin care specialists. Includes instruction in skin anatomy, physiology, and health; principles of nutrition; decontamination and infection control; health and safety; facial and body massage; body wrapping and spa treatments; temporary hair removal including waxing and tweezing; color and skin analysis; client consultation and care; applicable laws and regulations; business practices; and sometimes related alternative healing regimens.
