Programs

Expanded Function Dental Assistant

The objective of the Expanded Function Dental Assistant program is to train students to become an essential part of the dental team. Our comprehensive communication-based approach in the student's training will add to the ever-growing need for high-quality, personable dental professionals. A Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist with a variety of procedures including preliminary examinations, performing four-handed and six-handed dentistry, sterilization and infection control, patient comfort and more!

Upon satisfactory completion of the training, students will be qualified to assume entry-level positions as a Dental Assistant.

Medical Assisting

Increasingly, doctors and nurses are relying on Medical Assistants to help with patients' needs during office visits. The demand for those with medical assistant training will continue to grow as people live longer and the population increases.

Medical Billing and Coding

Considering the growing population and the needs of a society that is living longer, this is an excellent occupational choice. In fact, this career field is expected to grow faster than average which means opportunities abound in hospitals, clinics, doctors' offices, laboratories, facilities for the aging and many other places.

Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy technicians help licensed pharmacists provide medication and other healthcare products to patients. Technicians usually perform routine tasks to help prepare prescribed medication for patients, such as counting tablets and labeling bottles. Technicians refer any questions regarding prescriptions, drug information or health matters to a pharmacist.

Upon successful completion of training at a dental assistant school, graduates will be qualified to work as either a Pharmacy Aide or a Pharmacy Technician.

*Programs vary by campus.
