• Certified Medical Billing
  The medical billing/coding industry is one of the fastest growing fields in the country. In this program, you will learn medical terminology, anatomy, medical billing/coding, law & ethics, insurance claims processing and computer applications. As an FCI graduate, you can choose to work independently, or work directly for doctors, hospitals, clinics or other health care facilities.
• Emergency Medical Services

  Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are the vital link in the chain of the healthcare team. Upon completion of the program the student will be able to properly assess, manage and transport a patient to a proper medical facility while ensuring the safety of all members of the EMS crew and the patient and all bystanders. The EMS program at Florida Career Institute can train you with the skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level with an ambulance service, fire departments, hospitals and industries. The program is designed to prepare the student as an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B) AND as an Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (paramedic)

  Graduates of the EMS program will be trained in the following procedures:

  • Patient assessment
  • Splinting / bandaging
  • Patient stabilization
  • Patient movement and transportation
  • Administration of medication
  • Initiation of intravenous fluids
  • Interpretation of electrocardiograms
  • Defibrillation
  • Endotracheal incubation

• Medical Assistant
  Our Medical Office Assisting program can provide you with the skills needed to work in a medical office setting, performing both administrative and clinical duties. Also included is an externship where you'll get real world training experience. Upon graduation, you'll be prepared to work in today's medical offices: at the front desk, in the lab or assisting the doctor.
• Therapeutic Massage
  The NEW Therapeutic Massage program at Florida Career Institute provides the skills and knowledge necessary to become a massage therapist. Students adopt a variety of techniques of therapeutic massage and learn proper body mechanics that enable them to enjoy a rewarding career in a variety of settings. Students gain a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology while practicing and mastering the techniques of: Swedish massage, sports/athletic massage, hydrotherapy, orthopedic massage, spa/body treatments, neuromuscular therapy and Eastern-related modalities.
