According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, job opportunities in the advertising field are expected to increase by 12 percent through 2016. The increase in employment will be attributed to the number of manufactured products and services available to consumers by the many domestic and global companies, vying to win over the consumer market.

In October 2009, the average annual salary for advertising managers was $89,000. Earnings can differ considerably, depending on education, location, company size, level of responsibility, and length of employment.


Advertising Managers and Advertising professionals with a degree are an integral part of today's consumer market. Working in both small and large companies, Advertising managers often work with internal marketing teams to create advertising and promotional campaigns. They will be involved in the process of assessing the need to advertise or promote a product and manage the advertising team, including the creative director, copywriters, designers, PR staff, media staff and others to communicate, create, and sell advertising for products and services.
